A new design to ring in the New Year

Enjoy our new design for 2010.  On this new design we decided to focus on usability, clean layout, and subtle yet eye catching graphics. The installed theme is a sub-theme of our Zen installation.  We styled the sub-theme using as much pure css as we thought possible keeping the graphics footprint to a minimum.

We make use of the Drupal core navigation block in the left sidebar region along with the module DHTML Menu to give our visitors full use of the Drupal navigation system.  The color theme is based on the Orange on Grey theme at Adobe Kuler with a dark grey background color.  With the dark background it was necessary to lower the opacity on most of the node and block graphics in order to keep them easy on the eyes.

Another module we are quite fond of using is CSS Injector.  This allows us to create an external css file on the fly within Drupal and apply only to specified pages.  Although this is no replacement for full blown theming it sure does come in handy for getting elements within a node to do what we want.
